Founded 1986.  An annual celebration of the diverse LGBTQIA+ communities in New Zealand’s Capital city, and is possibly the longest running rainbow community event in Aotearoa including the key events such as ‘Out in the Park’.

The Wellington Pride Festival | Tū Whakahīhī e Te Whanganui-ā-Tara showcases a great variety of events organised by groups within the community. Our rainbow community encomapasses lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, takatāpui, fa’afafine, intersex, queer, and all other gender and sexual minorities.
