Where queer hopes and dreams bloom!
The first ever festival for those who “love it here” and “love it queer” will delight the heart and tantalize the senses throughout March 2022. Rainbow locals are buzzing! The Festival boasts a Whāngarei Pride Parade, “Love it Queer!” Gayla, and a bouquet of complementary events by and for our Whāngarei Rainbow Community and whānau.
Organized by Whangārei PROUD, the Whangārei Pride Festival features local expressions of Pride all over Whangārei CBD with indoor and outdoor public events including a parade experience, family picnic, art pop-ups, drag, music, film, forums, and after-party.
We strive to make the Whangārei Pride Festival inclusive and accessible.
